About the Project

This is part of the wider Last Stand at Glazers Creek project I have been doing for a while now, which incorporates the Praetorian Guard, terrain and Orks. The first part of the project which can be seen in my projects list deals with the imperial guard and terrain (work in progress). But this part specifically covers the Orks I will be painting as I fancied creating its own project for. Ideally the first chunk painted will be those Orks that I see at the actual battle for Glazers Creek battle followed by the other Orks I have in my collection. I’m going to try and paint the orks quickly using contract paints where possible as well as weathering, no edge highlighting here ?.

Buggy and warboss painted as Evil Sunz colours and the nobz painted in Goffs. Have another 5 nobz to do as the warbosses bodyguard at some point. For the general infantry I’m painting quickly using those contrast paints, but spending a little time on the characters as I have done here with the warboss and as I did with the Big Mek in a previous post.

Next up is a wartrakk, 5 nobz, another big mek and a 10 ork unit of shoots boyzNext up is a wartrakk, 5 nobz, another big mek and a 10 ork unit of shoots boyz

I have ended up painting a few more units than initially thought from my first update. Using a lot of contrast paints so getting through the models quickly. Also been using AK Interactive streaking grime on the trukk, buggy and deff dread, which I’ve not used before and I think they turned out pretty good.
