About the Project

Getting back into the hobby bandwagon with a new project. Something different this time, a model truck. This will give me the opportunity to do something different and learn and practice new techniques. So there will be some experiments including chrome, wet-sanding and more to get the result I want. Now I don't want the truck to look battered, I'm good at doing that, but I don't want it brand new either, so I'm going for a used look.

I got the last bits on the chassis mounted and ready for painting. I also prepped the first wave of body panels for priming and painting.

I got both differentials mounted in their suspension brackets and installed in the chassis and connected the drive line from the gearbox all the way to the back differential.

To start off I bought the 1:24 Volvo VN 780 kit from Italeri and I also bought a truck accessory kit from Italeri. The plan is to make the truck pearl white with chrome bits make it all look shiny and add little bits of dirt, mud and stuff to it so it looks used.

Starting off.
