And apparently I’m boring the cats…?
Painted so fare this year
That’s all my rebel models painted, for now.
Again I’m playing a bit with my lightbox ?

The pair is together with their bases done. I put a little water effect on both. Pretty happy with the result.
At the same time I got yo play a bit with my light box

I got my third covid shoot and felling a bit down energi down. I will try to take some foto box pics doing the weekend.
The magic of drybrush and wash
Tonight I finished operative Luke. I started with a drybrush and then some different washes.
The suit and his boots was drybrushed with AP Uniform Grey.
The light saber got a drybrush of AP matt white, very lightly so you still can see the very aggressive green.
The suit, belt, sword handle, boots and gloves was washed with GW Nuln Oil
His hair And skin was was washed with Gw Seraphim Sepia
I dident use any washes on the light saber, because it need to be bright and green.
And that’s what I did. I managed to start on the base, but will finish it tomorrow, with turfs and such.
The brown base material I’m using is from AP, and is called brown battleground.
And ofcourse I had company while painting, my chunky boy chewie?
But all in all I’m very pleased with the result. Its just amazing what a drybrush/highlight and wash can do to a model.
Base paints on operative Luke
Luke is getting ready for some highlights and washes.
I gave him a good spray of AP Uniformgrey and I used these colours for him. I’m hoping to finish him tomorrow ?
AP elven flesh for his skin
VJ german grey for his glove and boots
AP Matt Black for his suit.
AP Plate Mail silver for his sword handel and belt buckel
AP Leather Brown for his best
GW Moot Gren for his light saber
AP Desert Yellow for his hair
And again i had some company ? chewie liked the box Luke arrived in ?
Rebel veterans, done
The bases is finally done, and they are ready for battle. I’m really happy with the result, they look like they where in the movie ?
The grass turfs, are 12mm jungle grass from green grass.
I got some more rebels as Christmas presents, opretavive luke, Cassion Andor and his robort? they will be the next to get some paint ?
Oh and batman is tacking a nap, always nice with a little company, even if his sleeping?
Texture paint
This is the texture paint I’ve been using for all my rebels, and I still got plenty left. Got it for 89 Danish crowns so around 10.10 £. I’m gonna use for some scatter terrain aswell. I need some Palm trees?
It's all about that base
With the support weapon ready, I have startet on the bases. The base is painted with ap skeleton bone, later in gonna ad ap Leather Brown. I used vj sandpaste, I will find the name tomorrow. After its all dry and good i use some white glue, and ap brown Grit.
- And I had company in the chair opposite me, but I first saw him when I was done painting ? Loke always dissapear in our chair?
And the support Squad is out to dry
And the support team is ready to dry after a little wash. The base was painted AP skeleton bone. Really happy with the paint job, fits well rouge one/scarif theme. I was a little afraid the winter gear wouldent fit.
More rebel veterans!!
I almost finished my veterans just need one more model, and all models from the box is done ? and then its basing time.
The alien, had its skin coloured painted ap kobold skin, and vj german camo brown, and washed with gw Seraphim Sepia shade.
I tried to use my light box again, pretty happy with the result
First veteran done
Happy new year, i got some time to paint betwen, christmas and new years eve. I finished the unit leader, 6 models more to go. I got a foto box as a Christmas present. I will test it more as I finish more models.
Rebel veterans : first coat of paint
I finnaly got around to paint a bit tonight. I used VJ German Grey on either their pants or jackets. I had a little help from Chewie.
I hope to paint some more tomorrow, if the cats allowe me to ?
Rebel veteran and now objektivd
I got my hands on some rebel veterans and some more terrain/objektivs. I have just assambled them and should get there first paint tomorrow ? and again its all gonna be in a scariff theme
Reinforcments
I bought myself some tauntaun riders. It was time to get some hard hitting units for my rebels.
I’ve always been hesitant to add them to my scarif force. They looked like, they only belonged on snow/ice planets. Now after i got some paint on them, they will fit in just fine, provide even more close fire and combat option for me.
They are where much easier to paint than I thought .
I primed them with ap Uniform Grey
Leather, ap Leather Brown , ap Strong Tone
Face, ap babarien flesh, washed with ap Strong Tone, highlighted 1 to 1 ap mat white and ap babarien flesh
The soldiers where painted the same way as my rebel troopers https://www.beastsofwar.com/project-entry/1418502/#comments
The sleeping bags, vj green Grey, ap Strong tone
The whole tauntaun was washed in ap Strong Tone.
I was thinking about drybrushing the hair after the wash, but I likes the result so much, I just think I will keep it?
Captain, my Captain
“As my sweet mother always said, ‘Son, if one hostage is good, two are better. And three, well, that’s good business.’”
I forgot, I got this beautiful model from skull forge of Hondo, one of my favourite characters from the Clone Wars series. He is a true pirate and I’m gonna use him as rebel officer, or even stand in from Han Solo, Leia or Lando. Might even make up some rules ?
Let’s see if can remeber the colours i used ? I used AP Dragon Red for his coat, washed it with a GW seraphim wash, and then highlighted with a AP Lava Orange.
The metal on his coat, helmet and pistol painted VJ German Field Grey, drybrushed AP Plate Mail Metal on, washed with a GW Nuln Oil
His skin is AP Leather Brown, his shirt AP Uniform Grey, washed with GW Arthrax Earthshade
All of my Scarif themed Star Wars !!!
Its all painted!
I finally have a fully painted army! I onle done this ones before (my bolt action army).
So I snapped some fast pics of them all
In this pic are there the following units :
Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Sabine Wren, Leia Oregano, Jyn Erzo, Chewie, 2 units of Wookies, 2 unist of Fleet troops, 6 units of Rebel Troopers, 3 AT-RT’s, 1 unit of pathfinders, 1 unit of rebel commandos, a group of specialists, 1 airspeed, objectives and barricades.
And wow it feels good! But I have a felling more rebels are incoming, Christmas time is around the corner, or as we say in Danish Jul ! Time for herring, snaps and many other wonderful jule traditioner.
And thanks for all the likes, and comments you guys have been writing sins i started this blog. Its probably more a star wars legion experience blog, than just painting.
Happy Holidays everyone 🙂
Sabine Wren! and another AT-RT
So I been painting Sabine Wren, and im not interly happy with the result, i might return to her later. The biggest problem I had was all the diffrent pattern she has on her armor. I tried to replicate it as good as i could, but i was not happy with the result. I ended up with a simple armor, but I might return to her later.
AP Uniform Grey Primer
Armor: AP Alien Purple, AP Matt White, AP Lava Orange, AP Uniform Grey, GW Nuln Oil, AP Matt Black
Uniform: VJ German Grey, AP Uniform Grey, AP Leather Brown, AP Skeleton Bone, GW Arthrax Eathshade
After a lot of failed attempt to free hand the rebel alliance logo, on her armor, i started painting my AT-RT, i used the same technic as with my other walkers. So that’s it…
I finished all of my rebel models, terrain and objectives I have.
