About the Project
So had to build a kill team for my son to play with at school and being the hopeless collector this meant I then wanted to build as many kill teams as I could. Let’s go!

Easy Grey Knights
Had these laying around so thought I would follow a similar process to the Thousand sons models. Primed black, over brushed silver and then lightly airbrushed with a watered-down light blue for the electric feel.
Again happy with the results for what took only a couple of hours.
Been a long time, lets do something... Thousand Sons?
Not painted anything in the 40k realm for a while, so thought I would have my first attempt at painting some Thousand Son models.
The main thing here is getting the metallic blue armour, I did this by priming black, over brushing with silver and then airbrushing blue contrast paint.
The entire process was done over on twitch but I also published it on youtube.
I am happy with the outcome.
Roster Line up
So 5 has become 16 over the past couple of weeks, I think more will be added and there are a couple of options missing still.
I am happy with the result and refresh for a quick spring clean.
more Commanders!
Turns out there are options and even a magic dude… bit of shoulder carving and they join the DeathWatch
Commander Up!
Ok so with the commanders expansion I needed to add the guy in charger, there are some options but I started with this.
Filler
No idea what I built here but who doesn’t like a power sword and bolt pistol.
HellBlaster
There probably will be one more of these joining but a HellBlaster is another good option, so here is another butchered Primaris.
Shields up
The original team had one of this Sheild guys but again I read they are very good against high AP teams, so I made another one.
Primaris join the DeathWatch
Next, I butchered some easy build Primaris (cutting the shoulder away to add a DeathWatch one), this gives some 2 wound options and they bring some special rules that are very useful.
Grenade Spam - Justin would be proud
So the first thing I added was a pair of grenade launchers, I was told there is a cheese list with 3 of these guys but if you run 3 then you will “that guy” so kept it to two 😀
Sping Clean and Revist
Back in 2018 I built and painted a 5 man Kill Team of DeathWatch, and it turned out that it sucked…. this is because I have learnt Deathwatch rely heavily on their options depending on the enemy.
So over the past couple of weeks, I have decided to expand on the options for DeathWatch Kill-team and add Commanders.
This is where I finished off last November (new pic because it looks better)
Death Watch are ready...
Another quick paint job to get these to the tabletop ready for a game.
James gets a commander
With the commander expansion I needed to get James up and running with this guy.
One night paint job
So I wanted to see if you could get a kill team painting in a single evening and the answer is yes….. if you go Necrons.
build and primed in leadbelcher primer, dry brushed with Necron silver, then washed with Nulin Oil and dry brushed again with Necron silver.
i decided to add a splash of colour to each so you could tell the units apart and the specialist units.
Based very simply with a mix a various gravels and washed with strong ton.
table top ready within hours.
