Sculpting Cobblestone Bases
I just completed assembly of the Big Brother miniature for the Little Parliament faction. In keeping in theme for the faction I sculpted cobblestone onto the bases using greenstuff. Hear I will demonstrate how to do so.
Prepare the green stuff and put it on the base so that it is level with the lip of the base.
Take a rock, such as the one I have here and press it into the greenstuff to provide a rocky texture.
Use a sculpting tool that looks like a knife to score 3-sided or 4-sided "stones" into the green stuff.
If you want you can stop at the previous step. However to make the cobblestone appear deeper I use a sculpting tool (you can also use a toothpick) to widen the gaps between the stones.
