I primed the Miniatures with Flat Black and Flat White only from the Top with Thailand Local Spray Can – Layland, because I have no Grey in my Stock and want to try my experiment on this style to bring out more contrast result. And, I love the result. It is very dramatic color for me.

I inspired the skin color of the Garrek Gorebeard fron Genghis Khan, the first Khan of Mongkol Empire. He has the sunny dark skin tone. So, I decided to use Vallejo Dark Fresh mix with 30% Black to base paint by heavy glaze and washed with GW Rakland Freshshade then Hilight with Vallejo Dark Fresh and wetblend with mix more Vallejo Ivory.

This is my first time to paint NMM.  It is very difficult.  The main 2 difficult points are:

  1. How to make the color blending to look like the shinny Gold?
  2. How the light reflect the thing and what it should look like?

I researched the information from the Youtube Paint masters that I followed and tried to paint as the same, but the result is not good as them.  Anyway, I am ok with result for my first time.

These are the sources:

NMM

Wetblending

The big problem from my experience is the Priming with Zenithal Highlight by Spray Can make NMM difficult, because the Light effect from the metal is not the same as normal object.  It reflect back with the near white in different angle https://the-educational-blog.quora.com/How-are-photo-realistic-materials-made-in-CGI

NMM is still difficult thing.  I think I do better on the gold part, but the Metal Part on the Axe is not good enough for me.  I make the light reflection wrong. The good point is the blood effect that obscure the axe

Targor is done. I am happy with the result on the blade and axe, but not the belt. Still need more practicing.

My NMM skill is developing that is what I thought. I will practice more.  The pictures I posted did not add the blood effect yet, because I want to show my NMM detail. The blood effect will obscure my NMM, but it is for the sake of blood god. I have to put blood after these photo set.

For my experience this time, I found that paint the base color grey to cover all the part is the good step for Silver NMM than starting with blending black grey and white at the first time. It is very fun to make the battle damage. It look much more better in NMM effect.

Finger for the Blood God!!!Finger for the Blood God!!!

He failed and broke the finger which I can’t find the finger. I just found that it is not there while I painted, so I decided to give him the blood for sacrificed his Blood God.

Finally, the last fighter in gang is done. It is difficult to imaging the light and shadow at the axe.

I found that I had make a mess during prime which I notice a lot of dust in it. I experimented the blue glaze to the NMM and the result is very nice.
