Gnaming the Gnolls pt 6
We finish up with soda generated personality traits!
It was a little awkward while filming, that those traits came out so conveniently appropriate for the wizard and apprentice, then the other traits duplicating the way that they did. o_O
But I realized that that was the best proof of random selection because if I were to have manipulated the traits, I certainly wouldn’t have done it in such a way that looked so awkward and ‘convenient’.
Now I have some personality traits to help shape the narrative behind the warband’s exploits. 😀
Gnaming the Gnolls pt 5
With everything in place, it’s time for the plan to come together.
The sharp eyed will have noticed that I had 14 names on the sheet and was rolling a d10 to determine names. o_O
I was using a technique called “selection without replacement” so at first the names above 10 could not be rolled, but as selected names were removed from the list those other names could eventually be in range of the d10.
The random number after the name just adds cool unique flavor to the names and adds depth to the backstory. 🙂
Gnaming the Gnolls pt 4
Got the loot. Now I’m almost ready to start calling people names….
Gnaming the Gnolls pt. 3
Crisis Averted!! I’ve found the source of all character names. 😉 😀
Gnaming the Gnolls pt. 2
Inside the store, our hero runs into an unexpected development…
Gnaming the Gnolls pt. 1
I am working on a new warband to use for the Maze of Malcor. Naming the characters is always a challenge for me. While I was pondering deeply I happened to look down at the Coca-Cola I was drinking and realized I could make the soda name the characters for me. 😀
