About the Project

So I need a gaming table for my hobby. Mainly Star Wars: Legion. So I tinkered with CAD and came up with hex shaped pieces. 60cm across, 30cm on each side. The parts can be used to create one 180x104cm table or a 90x104.

I’ve cleaned up part of my garage and am now able to go in and work properly. The pictures show only a snapshot. Need to get rid of some more junk and then I can put up the board and have it standing there!

Onward! To glory!

(wow, where did I read that again? XD)

So I finally got around to do something more for this table. And what is essential for a civilisation? Roads!

Sadly I’m seeing warping. I hope this will “even out” with enough pressure during drying. We will see 😉

So I finished’ish the substructure and did a testfit.

It’s to big. I have huge gaps. Not sure how to handle that… it’s 180cmx105cm

Stuck!

Currently I’m stuck at the point on “what to make of it”. The modularity should be key but I lack the “vision” of what design I could use. To get the most use out of the project later (even with other games) the design should be generic. So maybe grass and sand?

Ideas are very welcome!
