Deathwatch
I decided on a Deathwatch Marine, imagining that the Inquisitor had requested support from the Ordo Xenos to explore the new planet. The Ronin space marine will wait for another day.

Kill Team Cannon Fodder
To accompany my Inquisitor on her investigation of the newly discovered planet I have gathered a team of warriors from across the Imperium. I’m not particularly happy with the paint job, it’s my attempt at grimdark, while keeping it in synch with my own art style. It needs more work I think.
I imagine the Inquisitor rescued the Ogryn from a corrupt master and keeps him around for muscle. I plan to add a Marine to the party, but I haven’t decided whether it will be a member of the Deathwatch, or some sort of Ronin Astartes still trying to serve the Emperor.
An Unexpected Inquisitor
I have an upcoming narrative campaign set in the 40k universe but using One Page Rules. It will involve small teams investigating a newly discovered world. I had this beautiful miniature lying around and decided to base an Inquisitor Kill Team around her. This is my first attempt using oils. You can get really creamy blends with them, but the trickiest part is forgetting your acrylic workflow.
The Evil Dead of Cursed City
The first mini painted from the Cursed City box set, inspired by the Evil Dead franchise. My paint scheme that is, not the game. The game is entirely original, owing absolutely nothing to Castlevania, Vampire Hunter D, or anything else. Honest.
Van Saar Gangers
I haven’t updated this page in a while, despite having painted a number of 40k minis. I will hopefully upload more over next few days.
Deep in the bowels of Hive Primus...
I love the pose on this mini; “look into my eyes, not around the eyes, directly into my eyes, 3,2,1 sleep…” *Eats face*
Belladonna Complete
I hated painting this mini, which is why it took me so long. Maybe it was the pressure of painting a £20 miniature, but a lot of it was to do with the size. There was a cluster of details on the right hip that I couldn’t even identify. I’d nearly finished before I realised it was two daggers and a bow. Anyway, I’m happy with the results and have painted her to match the rest of the gang in case I just want to use her as a gang member.
Scenery for Everything!
I have loads of Deadzone scenery that I use for, unsurprisingly, playing Deadzone. It’s an awesome game. So when I decided to pick up Necromunda and Kill Team, it was with the idea I would use this scenery. Sorry GW, I love you, but you’re an expensive mistress. Costs need to be cut somewhere.
A lot of my DZ stuff was painted in 2015 though, back when the world was a calmer, happier place, and my painting was a little less polished. I’ve tinkered with them, bringing them up to 2018 dystopian nightmare standards.
Carcharodon Astra, Coming Atcha' with an Axe!
Very slow going on the painting front, only the second Kill Team mini painted.
Van Saar Test Mini
First gang member painted up, just a test to see how I want to do the rest.
The Great Enemy
Converted some Dark Vengeance Chaos Marines, swapping a power axe for a chainsword and a bolter for a plasma gun. Will hopefully put them to one side now and finish the Charcharodons.
Couldn't help starting another Kill Team. Try to focus Moonunit!
Space Sharks, comin' at you from the Outer Dark!
Built up and basecoated a few more Carcharodons for my Kill Team. Got some symbols from shapeways and did a bit of conversion work. One of the things I love about the Space Sharks is that they are ancient, using a mixture of old tech and armour plus whatever they get from the Grey Tithe.
From the Outer Darkness...
Robbie Macniven has managed to make me obsessed with Space Sharks, due to the awesome “Red Tithe” and its sequel, “the Outer Dark.” As such, who else could I choose for my first Kill Team?
Fungus
Game boards need scatter terrain, and I love the fact that the underhive is teeming with weird fungal lifeforms, so of course I’m gonna fill my hive with glowing fungus.
Game Board 2 - The Other Side
I knew this would happen as soon as I started a project blog. I got distracted. Anyway, finally got the other side of my 4×4 board done. Now to paint it.
