Age of Sigmar Spooky Nighthaunts + A year in reflection

I was hoping to get more detail on this for release day, but forgive me i was ill so published and will be updating as soon as i can

I don’t like the games workshop spirit hosts, so I got privateer press bone swarms instead

I intend to use this static grass from GF9 on the bases

At first i was worried , that the pre-moulded easy build bases wouldn’t fit in with the rest of the unit . But i now think it works well with the dead grass static grass

When i originally painted my Hex wraiths, i painted them a dark ghostrider theme. But becuse i got the new nighthaunts. I decided to repaint them. I under coated the barding and rider white  , then shaded all the white in hex wraith flame technical paint. Then when that was dry i went over all the cloth with 2 coats of night haunt gloom technical paint. Leaving any bone or flames the hexwrath colour. Once this was done i picked out the wood and metal areas. And shaded them with Agrax earthshade. The final stage was to pick out the flames with Lamenters Yellow glaze. With these steps i painted the whole army. Just now need base with Stirland battlemire and some dead grass static grass. Then sit back to wait for the next batch of realises

I got back into the hobby june 2017 , just after dark  imperium. I must say that I am enjoying being back in the hobby. The community and different hobby hubs like Beasts of war have improved a hundred fold. The paints , and the models are a vast improvement on what i worked with 10 years ago. I love being back in the hobby !.
