About the Project
This is my Dark Angels 5th battle company from around the 13th Black Crusade era, so before the Primaris heresy. It started out as my half of the Dark Vengeance box back in the day and has been growing into a full battle company ever since. After a couple of years of this project being dormant as I struggled with 8th edition 40k. I am now re-imagining the project, re-painting the army in a grimdark style and finishing it off before the proper standard space marine is completely eradicated in current GW lore. The army will be for 7th edition 40k, I may try it in 10th at some point if I can make a legal list, but the focus is 7th edition and 8th edition if needed.

Squad 3 Progress Update 7
The second half of squad 3 is now almost ready for their varnishes, just waiting for them to dry, apply some desert dust and they’re ready.

I made a start on the second half of squad 3. Basecoats, iconography and chipping done.

Predator Progress Update 9
Most of you will probably know how demoralizing it can be to ruin weeks or months worth of work. Well this is what happened to my predator, I did the weathering with pigments and then ruined it with my airbrush.
I have now redone it using pigment binder instead of water, but not that happy with the results. Let’s hope it’ll stay on after the varnish. If so I’ll apply my pigments with water next time and then sprinkle some pigment binder over it.
It’s just not the same as before……

The final stage of weathering is done on my Dark Angels Predator, now it’s just varnishes to seal it all in and matte coat it and such and done.

Predator Progress Update 5
The predator is ready for a gloss coat to protect it from the enamel washes. I also glued the lascannons to the hull to blend the weathering in with the hull of the vehicle.

Some progress on the second half of Squad 7. I’m still not feeling well and struggling to keep a brush steady, but trying at least.

I updated the weathering on my predator to bring it more in line with the other marines of my 5th Battle Company. Still waiting on supplies before I can really continue with it.
