Altdorf Artillery Crew and Free Company WIPS
Since my old digital camera gave up the ghost, I had to end up buying a new one, and then I also had pre-ordered the newer release of the Empire Artillery kit and the Empire Free Company kit, which means I can get more work on the grey side of my Grand Army of Altdorf.
First up are two of my new artillery gun. These guys are a combination of the Empire artillery crew, the Free Company kit, the regular State Trooper kit and the Greatsword kit. I’ve taken inspiration from the various examples of artillery crews given in the Uniforms & Heraldry of The Empire book.
Combination is, for the left model – legs and head from the Free Company, torso and arms from the Empire artillery, and for the right model – legs, torso and black powder ladle from the Empire artillery, arms from the State Trooper and head from the Greatsword kit.
Next up is the champion of the Free Company unit. Again, a kit bashed model, with the legs from the Empire artillery, torso and arms from the Free Company, and a sallet helmet from Anvil Industry to give him the look of a more veteran fighter.
