I got another werewolf thrown into a recent order, which is useful to expand my existing wolf pack. Most scenarios typically need a pair of werewolves eventually, so a second is very handy to have.

Probably the first time I’ve seen a werewolf painted like an actual wolf. I like it! These are really nice and well proportioned werewolves. I think I have two of each, and I really need to find the time to paint them up.

Thanks NR. The painting is super fast, just a series of increasingly dark washes over a white base, each one hitting a smaller area of fur, and a final very light drybrush of white and a few select highlights.

Just washes! It is very effective. Are they Speed/Contrast type paints, or normal diluted paint – I say it because the coverage is very even.

Normal Vallejo washes. Base coat is off-white, more to make sure that the white primer has coveted well. Then a grey wash over the whole model. Then a sepia wash, hitting almost all the fur, umber wash on the ‘top’ of the parts, and a final black wash for the spine. A light drybrush of ivory gives a bit of a lift, and you can go heavier in any areas where the wash ended up too heavy. Likewise, if you overdo the drybrushing, knock it back with a wash again.
