I thought that The Lord of the Rings was an epic film trilogy to sit and watch. I had no idea what was in store for me when I sat to take in Naresuan (released as “Kingdom of War”). As the opening 3 hour epic to a six part series (each about the same length) I have been overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude of the film. The history is very deep as the political drama plays out well to show the plays for dominance taken by various kingdoms in SE Asia.

Seeing the figures for Khmer offered by Wargames Atlantic Digital I reconsidered taking my idea back to the original concept only for a moment. This series of films gives me food for thought and fodder for imagination to mull over as an army build. Ugh, more to set up and build in my head before hands touch metal (maybe resin/plastic if I’m lucky). Putting things on the backburner like this isn’t a bad thing as it’s only just lining up ideas well in advance before execution.

After these movies I might look into “Sema” and “Bang Rajan” but I might well be burnt out on this for a while.
