Something Different: The Ministers Regiment
Sir Arthur Erskine of Scotscraig’s Regiment of Foot was raised by the Presbyterian Clergy of the Kirk at their own expense, this we know is true. There are multiple stories of ministers supplying the regiment with old clerical garments but it’s not know for sure either way. There is some conflict about whether or not they actually wore these as uniforms but the wargaming community seems to have accepted it as true and it’s cool so I painted up a black coated ‘Ministers Regiment’.
Paint them black then drybrush with grey. Then paint the unit as normal.
