Huzzah ! Spent the Bank Holiday Monday afternoon splashing some paint on some moon stone chaps
Started this morning with the mission to paint Eric the squire and ended up painting baron von fancy hat and sir hogs wash as well.
It was quite a challenge to mix up the paints as there is a lot of metal parts to these models and only having 3 colours to play with (not including black and white)
I decided for the armour a blue grey highlighted to white would give the effect I was after.
I mixed 2 parts blue to one part white then half a part of black to make the grey then added more white to highlight up.
I also found that lahmian medium with a minute amount of black paint makes a wash that helps add some depth to the models, you have to be careful not to add too much paint or when it drys it just makes everything it touches grey so a lot of trial and error was needed.
All in all I’m very happy how they turned out.
