The Cavalry’s arrived!
The next scheme I had to nail down was the Heavy Dragoons, these are some of my favourite models ever, I love how much they stitch together (pun intended) the historical reference and the unique character of the Britanan army.
For this scheme I almost copied exactly from the historical paintings of British dragoons. I love how the larger surfaces on these models allowed me to add in much more texture and detail to areas like the gold and silver in particular.
This imposing puppet will be the officer for my dragoons so he’s been given a rifle and a black crest to differentiate him (the rest will be red or cream).
I have two of these squads so I am tempted to convert the second to look like French dragoons with green uniforms and leaopard print but I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it.
