Now for the final four miniatures, The Green Man, and three spirits of the forest. Again I played around on the miniatures with the colours, experimenting with how not to paint green things just green.

I started with a base coat of Camo Creed for all but one, since he was a somewhat thorny guy I used Wyldwood. These were lightly drybrushed with Pale Sand.I started with a base coat of Camo Creed for all but one, since he was a somewhat thorny guy I used Wyldwood. I used Ork Flesh for the Green Man’s “hair”, the wings, patches of “fur” and all of the bald guy. The spiky guy also had some Ork Flesh on his spikes. To add interest and colour(other than green) I used Mahogany Brown and Plague Brown to patches of leaves on the Green Man, and the fury spirit. Olive Green was used to highlight the Ork Flesh and a very thin coat was given to the green areas on the Green Man.To add interest and colour(other than green) I used Mahogany Brown and Plague Brown to patches of leaves on the Green Man, and the fury spirit. To deepen the shading and blend the other colours in I gave all of the miniatures a wash of Green Tone.To deepen the shading and blend the other colours in I gave all of the miniatures a wash of Green Tone.

The Green Man & the Spirits of the Forest Bring A Golden Button

I’m pretty happy with the final result. They are probably the greenest and lightest of all the Wealdgeist minis.
Next time I hope to take some photos of the whole collection.

The Green Man & the Spirits of the Forest Bring A Golden Button

I was happy enough to be one of the projects featured in last week’s XLBS and received a golden button for this project. A very big thank you for this, and it never gets old seeing your work talked about on the telly.
