Now the big test. Using laser cutters is definately not something for ‘in the house’ but many of us don’t have a lot of choice where we hobby.

Im experimenting with this in my basement – but previous tests had smoke still rising up through the house. So will this smoke purifier be the ticket to stink and smoke free laser cutting?

If you have a window nearby, I would recommend using an air assist fan connected to the housing and leading outside. You can make a very quick shield to block out the wind coming in through the window to only allow the vented smoke to go outside and even add a gate to close it off when not in use. The main issue I see with the “purifiers” or “air filters” is that you are storing the smoke within the unit and have to continuously replace the filters.
