Gorram's Great Star Wars Project

Today I wanted to sit and figure out how long it is realistically going to take to churn out these armies.
Once the models get to the primed stage, painting up 11 bases to completed (as detailed in the last post with the addition of a Nuln Oil wash to the bases) took around three hours.
I have some thoughts right now. I like the final look, the painting is easy and quick. The basing though is a killer time sink – almost twice as long as the painting stage. While the idea of two thirds of the army work being the pre-prime basing odds not fun, I really hate it when you see small scale armies and the puddles or strips are really obvious.
It’s roughly 100 days until game day and I have other projects I’m working on at the same time. Balancing getting it done without sticking the joy out of it it’s going to be my main concern.
Right now though, this is good and it’s time to get there 3d printer going again.
I’m loving this, John has stalled with our two forces so I must give him a kick.
I’m not loving it right now but I know I will once in further into it. Kicking him is fine, just don’t break his fingers
