Some Progress but Cap Gives Us the Stink-eye.
I’ve been putting in a little time on Captain America and Ultron. Both are getting close to finished. While I still don’t especially like the blue of his uniform I think the overall job is done. The eyes, however, look ridiculous and really need to be re-done. I generally do almost all my work with three brushes, a #2 with a sharp tip, a #1 with a sharp tip, and a #0 with a sharp tip. There are dry brushes and flats that join in from time to time but most of my work is done with these three. The #0, Fine Detail brush has reached its functional lifespan and doesn’t hold a sharp tip anymore. Hence Cap looks like he’s constipated. I’ll work on him some more tonight and try to fix that. Maybe an Ink Wash over the blue as well.
No matter how long one has been painting, there are mistakes to be made and solutions to be found.
