Heading Overseas with the Baron's War
Arabic Shrine
An addition of a bit of terrain to this project. Oshiro Model Terrain ran a Kickstarter earlier this year for a modular Arabic shrine. It arrived a bit late for Terrain Fest, but done now.
It’s quite a nice set of resin, accompanied with a little tomb inside and a stone well. The painting won’t win any awards, but the end result looks okay enough.
You remain an inspiration my friend. Thank you and long may it continue across all your projects and into 2024.
Cheers very much, hope you have a good festive end of year as well.
Lovely work! You nailed the stone look.
Thanks very much. It was a really fast and dirty process, mixing some craft acrylic to a dark mustard colour for the base, and a heavy drybrush of a soft cream house paint. Finally I used a dark wash to line the stonework. Someone could easily do a better job with a bit more care and attention, but I struggle keeping motivation painting terrain, so kept it simple.
