My first Frostgrave project
I got into Frostgrave very early on, back in first edition, and one of the main reasons for getting into it was the total freedom to use literally any models to represent your characters on the tabletop.
As a player of greenskins in Warhammer Fantasy Battle, I had a ton of old orc and goblin models unloved and looking for a home, so this was the theme I chose for my first warband.
When choosing a school of magic, the Witch school seemed the most shamanistic and orcy so that’s what I went with.
The only model I had to purchase was the wizard miniature for the warband as I had no orc wizard miniatures in my spares to repurpose. After a bit of searching I found what I think is an amazing orc shaman miniature in metal from Reaper which was exactly what I was looking for.
The other models were all Games Workshop orcs and goblins in either metal or plastic.
In Frostgrave first edition there was no specialist cap, which appeared in second edition, so you had more freedom to create a ten model warband as long as you did not exceed your 500 gold limit for initial model purchases.
So here they are in all their glory.
2023-12-05 Your project has been visited by the unofficial Hobby Hangout. Huzza!
Nice work ?
Saw this on the unofficial hobby hangout ?
Could i just ask what product have you used for the snow basing?
I’m looking for some snow for my northern alliance basing
Thanks for the compliment.
Snow is sodium bicarbonate mixed with pva and cheap white craft paint to a consistency of whipped cream. Then just blob it on with a coffee stirrer.
Congratulations on your project figures are fantastic for the game table’s.@warbossd?
