Choosing the miniature

So with Asvor this is not the first time I have approached painting a miniature for her.

Back in 2019 when the OTTers couch group first met up for an in person gaming session we decided to have a model for our figures. Shona , was however very new to the whole gaming world and only done minds eye RPGs, so no experience in buying or painting mini’s. So I said I would paint a figure for her . The figure chosen was the Female Wood Elf Warrior (DSM-7419) from Dark Sword Minis.

This is the painted version after 4 years, sadly it got damaged and the left arm, which was a separate part, broke off. This is the painted version after 4 years, sadly it got damaged and the left arm, which was a separate part, broke off.

Unfortunately, during a complete house renovation the mini got damaged and the arm broke off and lost.  At the time I reordered a new version of the model to paint up.

However since then I have acquired a few more DnD minis, and collecting all my minis for DnD together I found another figure. Which actually now has more a feel of Asvor.

Over the intervening period Asvor has developed an interest in sharp pointy sticks , whether they are spears. Or javelins. Show when I showed the figure to Shona the reaction was:

“Oooo yes!”

So the figure chosen for this project is as follows.

I am not sure where this figure came from, but it suits the character perfectly. I am not sure where this figure came from, but it suits the character perfectly.
