Wiley Games Fistful of Lead is a series of rules and supplements that feature the same basic mechanics but then tailors them to specific genres. Reloaded is the specific Western themed ruleset. If you want to add horror to your Old West you can combine Reloaded with the Horror supplement.

Posses are mostly a leader, a sidekick and three regular characters. You customize each member by picking traits and then picking one final trait for your posse. This allow a high degree of customization to replicate your favorite movie or historical figure.

Models are activated by playing cards with each player getting one card per model. A few cards have special effects in addition to their card and suit values. Models are activated from highest card to lowest with ties being decided by suit.

Using mostly D10s, some “rabble” will use D8s. Some legendary characters will use D12s.

This pattern of mechanics is followed in other games in the series like Galactic Heroes, the other ruleset I have from Wiley Games
