I’ve never played Mordheim but I have an undead warband painted up. I also have a Witch hunter warband that I bought after Ben talked about them on his YouTube channel. I bought them not  knowing if they would ever get to the table; I bought them just because I liked them.

These lovely metals came from Gripping Beast. The two dogs are from the Wargames Atlantic Dark Age Irish sprues. There are 14 miniatures in total. I didn’t write a list; I just used everything (except two models which are specifically for another project). If I get to play a game, I’ll write a list to fit what is painted. I have no idea if I can get them finished by the end of the challenge but getting them any closer to done is fine by me right now.

Stage one was simple; clean them up. The sculpts are nice and clean, very little flash and easy to scrape mould lines. A lovely soapy bath and they were ready to move on.

My approach to this project is a combination of cheating and comfort. Taking things easy on myself, I’ll do what feels easy or habitual. In the case of bases, cheating was the way to go. Thankfully a quick search on Etsy, £12 and a few days later, I had 20 resin printed Mordheim appropriate 20mm square bases.
