My brother had a copy of the 4th Edition WHFB box set back in the 1990s. He played High Elves so I played with the Goblins. 40k was more my thing back then. With all the talk of The Old World, last year I started collecting some models to build a 1000pt Goblin force, without breaking the bank. Initially this was going to be around 4th or 5th Edition. This has subsequently changed to 8th, which although I never played I had recommended to me. It also opens up some character options that 4th and 5th don’t have (Night Goblin Boss on Giant Cave Squig for example).
The force will end up being over 1000pts, basically because of a character I’ve recently purchased. I’ve assembled a lot of the force already. There’s some tidying up to do before starting to paint so I thought I’d document the project on here.
