The Great Grey Massacre.
Pondlife.
At the same time I bought the Waystones I saw a pond set by 3d Worlds on ebay. It came with a lot of accessories more than would fit in the small variant I bought which is great for garnishing future projects.
The bridge came in two parts so I pinned it together and used Humbrol plastic filler to disguise and strengthen the joint. I then primed it. Gave it rich red base coat. Washed it heavily with Carroburg crimson and dry brushed it with a lighter scarlet followed by a light drybrush of Orange from Coat d’Arms.
The reeds, fish, turtles and lillypads were painted using contrast. The stones had my ever evolving stone drbrush and Goblin Green from Coat d’Arms finished the ground work and cheap acrylic brown for the dirt and pond bed.
I used Woodlands Scenics Realsitic Water and their blue pigment ink for the water. When the water had mostly dried I popped the lillypads in. Some odd shrinkage occurred under the bridge and to one side I added an extra layer of the resin but there was still a blemish in those areas so I added some Woodland Scenic Water Effects to those areas and tried to make it look like small fish were causing ripples in those areas.
