Any suggestions would be appreciated as I am having serious airbrush varnish issues. I sprayed on the Vallejo matt [sic] varnish and it’s definitely semi-gloss at best.
Am I just spraying it on too heavily? Did I get a bad batch? Is this stuff just junk?

check if there is much sediment on the bottom. It settles heavily and needs a really big shake up to mix it. I’ve two large ballbearings in mine and requires me to go to work on it for a while. A paint stirrer may help.
If it’s completely mixed then light coats and let it dry. I did let a thick coat pool once and it dried satin.
For me it and AK’s Ultra matt are identical I did a Gerry can on it and you shouldn’t be seeing gloss with it
