Painting Zombicide 2nd Edition
Choosing my painting method.
This is the first step in my endeavour. I must decide on a painting technique to apply to all those myriad minis. It must be quick, easy but also fun to do. The graphic style of Zombicide is also important. It’s more comic book than realistic. So this may help or not. I have no idea.
Test #1 are simple flat colors with an ink lining. I tried to get darker tones of the same color so that it would look more natural to the eye. This is my first try at the infamous cell-shading technique.
Test #2 were the same flat colors but I simply brushed the model with Army Painter Strong Tone and let it be.
Test #3 was simply Citadel’s Contrast Colors.
Test #4 was the same Contrast Colors but I brushed some Strong Tone on it.
Let me know which you prefer. I already made my choice but you may change my mind 😉
