Bob's Battletech

With the Kickstarter I got the box of Legendary Mech Warriors, now I wasnt going to paint them as legends originally , just variants of my own house unit.

But saw of Cammo Spec videos on You-tube and though I would have a go.

So I have done Grayson Carlyle of the Grey Death Legion, Natsha Kerensky in her Wolf Clan Dire Wolf, and Morgan Kell of the Kell Hounds( dont show the upgrade card to Justin!). I didnt do Vald Ward, as he is a dick!

This I thought was a bit of magic, I was a bit unsure when I watched the video but damn if it didnt work.

couple of changes, used GW Grey Seer as base colour.

Rather than a base Grey, dabbed on Cammo as I had with Ghost bear Cammo with Basilicum Grey leaving it dry for couple of hours.

Then did his magic Basilcum grey coat over the top, thinning it down if looked like it was drying too dark, and to re-activate to stop it pooling,

The magic is it actually dries much lighter than you think on putting on the coat.

Even so I hightlighted it abit with a drybrush of the mp paints Blue Grey. Been done a week or so but was waiting for some Grey Death legion Decals to arrive of fleabay.

Was so pleased with final result that I decided that I would not only paint up another Gray Death Legion , Davis Mc-Calls Rifleman in that scheme but would also do a company of Knights Mercian in that scheme as an alternative.

They are a unit that didnt revert to basic Star League, honouring the 1st Mercenary Company that was formed on the Mercians Returnto the Human Sphere. Starting with a NightStalker ( its a cool looking mech)

I am working on another,  a Lancelot, which was an accident, it was due to be done in Star League olive, but in badish light picked up wrong pot of paint!
