Tank Duel on the Damascus Road: “The Arab-Israeli Wars” Battle Game (Part 1)
Oriskany hosts Elessar2590 (Another Historian Wargamer) for a game of Avalon Hill’s classic “The Arab-Israeli Wars.” This time we’re on the Golan Heights during the Yom Kippur War of 1973.
Israeli forces have absorbed Syria’s gigantic initial assault on the Golan Heights, and after several days of some of the most intense tank combat since World War II, the Israelis are on the offensive.
Pushing beyond the Syrian side of the Golan, Israeli armor and mechanized infantry are soon driving up the Damascus Highway at places like Hadr and Mazra’at Beit Jinn.
