Bob's Battletech
And Some Baddies
Having bored many to death with my history of the 101st , perhaps some photos of my mech projects past. At the same time I was painting my Fedcom Regiment , I had begun painting the army that everyone hates ( except possibly Gerry as what’s not to love about Religous nuke welding fanactics).
The Word of Blake and for the anal amongst us yhr 9th Division. To be honest don’t know much them and picked the ubitcas I liked the Windmill Division insignia.
With the final two sections of photos I think highlights one of the problems that came with some of the later Iron Wind metals models size creep, as it got increasingly more problematical to get them to fit on the hex bases.
These and the Fedcom were painted pre Contrast, The Word of Blake, being White took sometime I think I tried a grey base and Dry brushing white at time but that didn’t really work so litrally had to pick out the grey shading the long way. I do remember the Viking taking forever. These days I would just spray the covud White and put a thinned down of Basilicum Grey or the lighter grey over too.
The Unit and WOBwhere from Fighting Pirranna, who I think are still going. The rest were odd GW decals from my bits box.
How do you make sure that the last two big guys don’t fall over? 😉
Been a bit since I did them, but I brought hex bases for them and put a suitable heavy coin in the miliput filler.
