I decided to work on my light infantry in small groups rather than all at once. First i decided to paint my greek mercenary peltasts. When I was priming these models with a brush on primer much of the primer pooled in the recesses of the models and flowed off the higher areas. I decided that this was fine and to use this to my advantage as the light colour of the plastic meant that there was a natural variation in lighting. I decided to thin my paints when I was painting the clothes and skin so they were like a wash or contrast paint. First I painted the clothes vampire red and the skin dessert yellow

I was fairly happy with the result despite the fact that when I zoom in with a camera it seems to have a very glossy finish.  I then painted the spears brown, the plumes orange and the boots, sword and helmets silver. I have not yet based the minis as I am planning to base the entire army at once.
