Instead of painting large numbers of models at the same time for my light infantry  I decided to do each type of skirmisher separately. The first unit I tried were ten Greek mercenary peltasts

When I was priming the brush on primer did not Stick onto the entire model and instead pooled near lower down in the miniature. In the end I decided to use this to my advantage and paint with paints thinned down to a point where they were essentially washes or contrast paints. I painted the skin in a thinned mixture of dessert yellow and skeleton bone and painted the cloth vampire red.

I think this worked out quite well although The miniature seems to have quite a gloss finish in the zoomed in camera. I then went on and painted the spear shafts brown, the boots, helmets and swords silver and the plumes orange. I have not yet based the as I intend to do that at the end
