Infinity Spring Cleaning
Megolodron
Wow that was a lot of edge highlighting!
This is a thing of beauty. I still have to paint the base but I think this turned out well. I also think I’m getting small glimpses of reasonable NMM here. I’m only a bit sad that it’ll only see the table for relatively brief moments.
Next up: the base.
Any tips to remove this from the base? I tried but was scared of breaking it. I don’t want the base at all. I have a feeling it’s just patience.
No patience here. I just took my clippers and snipped each leg once, as low down as I could. The issue with using this freestanding if you do that, though, is that a couple of legs are higher/shorter than the others as the base, whole flat on the bottom, isn’t even on top. I’ll be gluing mine back onto the base as (A) it’ll help with placement in gameplay (B) I don’t think this will ever be playable in base Infinity so I don’t need to account for that and (C) I can paint the base to match the game… Read more »
The basing will not even be close to my basing and I wanted to play the casual scenario https://human-sphere.com/images/4/44/ENG_Megalodron_Mission_Set.pdf yours really dies fit in the way you have painted it, I think mine would just look odd.
Oh nice! Not sure how I missed that scenario but now I’ll have to give it a try.
It’s going to be his back right leg that’ll give you issues if you go my clipping route. That’s the one that’s a bit up on a tussock. I suspect, however, you could just trim a bit off the others to even things out.
Yeah thinking that clipping and possibly just making new toes would be the best option. At the minimum it will help with painting. I would then possibly magnetise the feet for two basing options.
