Progress report 10.05.2021

I had a week off, but then I managed to push the work quite a bit further.

Pictures bellow tell whole story of pre-shading and applying final colour of the fuselage.

This is where I started. To this point the ship was covered with spray-paint, and I painted landing gear wells with dark metallic from Army painter. This is where I started. To this point the ship was covered with spray-paint, and I painted landing gear wells with dark metallic from Army painter.
Next, I grabbed Valejo sepia ink and traced all the panel lines on the fuselage (with airbrush of course). It is good to be as neat and tidy with this step as possible, to save time in next steps… I wasn’t and paid for it later.Next, I grabbed Valejo sepia ink and traced all the panel lines on the fuselage (with airbrush of course). I think, lost one photo somewhere. Next step was to accentuate centre of each panel with white ink. This is where I had do spend additional time tiding speia lines.

In this photo you can see, that I covered whole thing with transparent layer of white ink, that was done to bring the colours a bit closer together. In this photo you can see, that I covered whole thing with transparent layer of white ink, that was done to bring the colours a bit closer together.
And finally, I switched from my small airbrush to my Chinese blaster of doom – a syphon fed .8 mm nozzle murder machine. I painted couple of layers of Vallejo white wash and transparent raw umber ink (roughly 4:1 mixture). Final step was to cover it all in solid layer of Pledge floor polish. Now the ship Is ready for decals, which unfortunately I need to design first… That’s the next step on the agenda.  And finally, I switched from my small airbrush to my Chinese blaster of doom – a syphon fed .8 mm nozzle murder machine.
