Basic PSC AVRE Hull cont'd
The hull was filled with plasticine using an sculpting tool to press it into the corners. Keep checking the fit of the hull top to make sure it fits properly for gluing in place.
With the hull top glued in place I widened the hole for the turret slightly to allow for any paint that will inevitable get on the turret post and in the hole.
It's starting to look something like it should.
Following this project with interest. I only opened it as you referenced armoured farmers, which was the nickname of 3rtr as they were raised in the west country. I didn’t know that there was another ?
Thanks @wurzzel, Yes it’s down to the joys of the bullnose mine plough that’s been fitted to the front of every AVRE since its inception. It just gets tweaked for each new tank variant. Plus armoured engineers like playing in the mud almost more then the Corp’s plant operators. It was meant to be a bit of a dig (pardon the pun) but now they wear it as a badge of honour!
