RightSwamps of Death Jargono raptor. Odd specimen. Has typical velociraptor hind claws, but notably smaller than expected. Skull and 2 digit forelimb resemble T Rex except forelimb is much longer and stronger than T Rex. Mane of quill like structures. Like many Jargono discoveries, varients of known species, yet deadlier.
Flat flagstones formed from epoxy sculpt. Earth texture from earth colored premixed “SimpleGrout” brand from Home Depot, mixed with PVA glue and some craft paint to form a mix similar to GW’s “Stirland Mud”. Plants are cut from cardstock shaped with embossing tool, glued to 26 gauage 1/4 LB floral wire. Vines are short bits of “Curly Willow” floral branches.
Red color was a layered mix of GW Nuln Oil & Army Painter Red ink, then wet brush (like drybrushing but wetter) of Americana “True Red” craft paint, then more oil and ink, then more wetbrushed craft paint.
To keep the markings on the back symmetrical, I marked dots along the spine from an overhead view, then worked these into stripes.
