Enemy bases
Here’s a test base for the enemies. These are MicroArtsStudio “Possessed” base toppers. They’re supposed to go into round lipped bases but…they fit perfectly straight on the Corvus Belli bases.
Process:
- a succession of dry brushes with the colors in the first two gallery pics, working L to R and ever lighter
- Painted the tentacles/growing bits with ever lighter touches of the colors in pics 3 & 4 in the gallery, with a wash of the darkest as a final stage
- Picked out the orb with the Montana paints in the last gallery pic (the labels have rubbed off so I can’t list their names)
Overall I’m pleased with the result. I worry it may be a bit too busy and detract from the minis and/or the game. It may have been better to put everything on the same base style. Time will tell. My Infinity CA will definitely be on these so I’ll probably keep the Defiance ones on them too.
