Infinity Spring Cleaning
Heroes on bases
So I got all the heroes I currently have primed and on bases. I had to fIght with my airbrush to get the primer to flow (tip: don’t try and use opened bottles of primer that have been sitting for a couple of years. Most airbrushes don’t like lumps).
ive learned that I’ll always have to touch up the primer after I get things onto the base as I always scratch some off. But that’s just par for the course.
I’m really looking forward to getting these painted up but I may work on the Combined Army bases and attaching them to said bases first. Then I’ll be set to just paint tiny fighting men, women, and creatures for a good while.
Those bases look ace! And they are so in line with the tiles colours!
Would you mind if I stole the design?
If you don’t mind a little tip, I’d recommend putting a piece of stocking over the top of the bottle of primer (under the cap) and screw the cap over that stocking. You may need to change it once in a while but no lumps will go to your airbrush.
Oh genius tip. I was trying to figure out a way to put a screen in the bottle or the airbrush but that is much more elegant.
And feel free to use any ideas here for your projects. I always figured that was the point of projects—sharing ideas and motivating each other.
Thanks mate! Out of curiosity, do you have any ideas for the bad guys’ bases?
I’ve settled on some Micro Arts Studios toppers I picked up on sale awhile ago. I think they’re called “Haunted” but I’ll have to check. I’ll make a note of what they are when I post some pics in the next few days (time and attention permitting).
Yeah, I know the type, guess I have a couple resin ones myself. I’m curious how you’re going to fit those weird hooves of the Shasvasti to uneven surface.
Maybe I’ll do some Geiger’esque bases as well.
