Draco - Task Force Bravo
Little boxes...
No wait…that’s describing houses…oops.
With the FV432s still on the way (Battlefront finally got the order off) I had to take some drastic action – unless the bigger boxes arrive before February, I’ll have to sub in these Spartans for them. Not that I minded, they were actually quite fun to paint up, and they look so cute!
And that’s when I realised I wanted to do the full Reece Company, with command, and Scimitars, and Strikers…these little boxes are basically priced at $10 each…what am I doing…?
However, this was the last part I was looking for – the first 50pts are (un)officially complete. 7 Tanks, 4 APCs and 8 stands of infantry
Oh well, as the Brits would say – “We’re in for a spot of bother now!”
Epc work on the camo and markings @draco84oz ! That’s a nasty little force … almost the understrength equivalent of a US tank-heavy team (two platoons / troops of armor and one of mechanized infantry).
FV432s, eh? They don’t make MCV-80 Warriors yet? Or would that not be era appropriate for 1980s? (Is a Warrior – Challenger-I teamup more the norm, as we saw in Gulf War / Opertion Granby)?
The paintjob is the main thing I did – the flags, vehicle registration and unit markings are the British decals.
They are making Warriors – you’ll see a couple that came with the new Brit starter set – but using them with Infantry basically doubles the platoon’s cost, more if want to use the up-armored version. The FV432s are more going to be used as “battle taxis” – MICVs don’t really last that long on the field in Team Yankee…
