Blood Bowl Gouged Eye Orc Team
Painting the Gouged Eye Orcs - Part 1: Basecoat
First put together the team on their base. This is rather simple as the miniature have a blockish style that fits their subject well. Of course, remove any sprue connection mark and fill the (unlikely) gaps with putty.
Zenital primed orcs
The miniatures were zenital primed,. which means I used a black primer applied from below with an airbrush, followed by a gray primer sprayed at 45 degrees and a final white primer sprayed from directly on top of the miniature (hence the 'zenital' moniker). Next I chose contrast paint 'Blood ANgel Red' to apply to the omnipresent armor plates, followed by Dark Reaper for the shirts and Rakarth Flesh for the pants.
I then applied Contrast Gore Grunta Fur to the loin cloth, Rhinox Hide to the armor straps and Steel Drab Legion to the socks.
Belts received Abaddon Black and any bare metal surface was thinly coated with Leadbelcher.
Make certain top pick which armor plates you wish to leave bare rather than painted red.
