I had started the cloth in the last post, but last night I got to make more progress.  Using  the base colour P3 Menoth White Base and P3 Menoth White Highlight I worked my way up.  A touch of AP Soft Tone (the wash not the dip) was used for some shading.

On the leather the book has a mix of colours and I ended up trying to replicate this as closely as I could, I ended up with Vallejo Green Brown, Vallejo Pale Flesh and a touch of AP Oak Brown as I felt I was missing out on the Brown tone needed.  I then washed this with AP Soft Tone to build up the  shadows and add a touch more brown to the colour.  The highlights were built up with fine brush strokes using P3 Menoth White Highlight to lighten the base colour and the shades with AP Oak Brown mixed in.  A touch of soft tone to the area between the highlight and the shade to blend it a little.

As you can see I’ve started on the dark leath which is currently Vallejo Dark Camoflague Brown.
