Over the top
1916
As a diversion from the usual ww1 scenarios I went for the Easter Rising. Footsore do a few Irish fighters but most are Perry miniatures Mafeking Boar war minus I thought would work. I thought about doing this after reading about the Sherwood Foresters being sent to Dublin during the rising. They were new recruits who signed up to fight the Germans and had never fired a shot before. They suffered terribly in street fighting as they uslessly charged buildings in the open an got cut down. We did some games where the Irish had hidden set up.
This is excellent. Been looking to get some minis to do 1916 or Irish War of Independence. Footsore have been out of stock for a long time – I’ll check out the Perry’s. Cheers
