Part Three - Painting
The Spires Force grown drones are coming along nicely.The Force Grown Drones (like all of the conquest miniatures featured) are primed in grey. I then used Contrast Ultramarine Blue for the body. I will be using blues and purples for the spires to contrast with the reds of the 100 Kingdoms. I then painted the shields with Vallejo Plata Silver let them dry and then painted over the silver with Contrast Akhelian Green to get a semi metallic finish. The tips and base of the spears are also plata silver but this time I used Druchi Violet to add a purple tint.
The shaft of the spear is Contrast Aggaros Dunes. I painted the head with Genestealer purple and the skirt element is Contrast Shyish Purple with the top in Retributor Armour. The boots are Contrast Black Templar. I will do some washes to finish probably nuln oil or drakenhof nightshade.
