The Monks of Aguu Burged

The monks thought that they could ignore the machinations of  the world outside of their mountain monasteries. However the Khalisan could not ignore them as it was their will to conquer all. They tried to assault the monasteries through the narrow mountain passes but the monks were skilled in defensive warfare and held them off. So a vast siege was put in place to starve them out. The Khalisan’s scouts secretltly climbed the steep cliffs and set alight the monks food stores. The starving monks eventually submitted. The Khalisan agreed to let them continue their worship in return for the supply of manpower. They form a light infantry contingent. Not the most aggressive but strong in defence and useful for holding a flank.
