With Rogue One being up there as my favourite ‘New’ Star Wars film I couldn’t ignore the Shoretroopers! I just had to pick them up!

I wanted to get them as close to screen acurate as possible but at the same time I didn’t think they needed that much work. At the end of the day we want to play with these right? They’re not display pieces.

But still, as close as I could get them

Painting

I’ve following a similar pattern than I’ve done in the past so if you’ve seen some of my painting videos before this will make complete sense.

I started with GW’s Grey Seer, as contrast paints for the win!

Interestingly though I decided to only really go with two contrast paints. Wyldwood for the cloth areas (trousers) and black Templar for the weapons.

The armour was painted with Sandri dust and then shaded with Agrax Eathshade. This did turn out slightly darker than I’d have liked but I still think it looks pretty close. See the pics below.

It was really then just the detailing left, the right arm of each the troopers has a red area which was Mephiston Red and then the Left arm all troops have a white stripe flanked with a black border.

The only difference between the NCOs and the troops was the Blue across the top of their chests and the top of their arms.

Pretty simple really, for more detail check out the video below.
