War in the holds - The sins of my youth
First Steps
So I’ve been meaning to get into kings of war for a while, and the new war in the hold box gives me two armies that I like the look at – the Ratkin and the Goblins.
So, armed with the box, I have to make a choice where to start – and I’ve decided to start with the goblins first – for two reasons – the first is more Ratkin models are incoming, and I want to give Mantic time to fill holes in their lines.
The second reason is I have the contents of the WHFB fourth edition box set in my loft, bought new and painted by 11 year old me.
Now 11 year old me is about to get a bit of stick, but believe me, he deserve it.
So, what is the plan?
Well I have 32 of these guys, 32 night goblins then 6 of each from the Warhammer quest box. some have broken bows and spears. I also have 40 goblins from the KOW box. I plan to go for around minimum model count. my regiment plan then becomes
1 Wiz
1 Regiment Trolls
2 Regiments of 15 Sharpsticks
2 Regiments of 15 Spitters
2 Regiments of 15 rabble
2 Troops of 8-10 rabble
The idea is this the regiments can be made into hordes, and the two troops can be a troop, a regiment or turn the rabble into a legion of my worst troops!
I plan on buying some Oathmark goblins to make Lugitz, (2 Regiments) and some Fleabag riders, as I’m not 100% sold on the mawbeasts. they also give me a mounted leader/flaggit
So, that’s the basic plan, next up will be assembly, stripping of 11YOM’s “paint job” and the construction of some nice swamp bases for everyone to go on.
This may take a while……
