Duster's Age of Sigmar
The Craven King, part 1
So, the Craven King! He is a very cool model but, i expected him to be hard to paint, because of what i thought would be a small contact point between the model and the base (plus possible wobble effect 🙂 ) and the 2 wraiths with him… So i assembled Kurdoss alone and his base separatly.
First pic: The Craven King:
It turns out that the model is very well balanced, it stands well on its own, without support but, don’t shake the table!
For the base, since Kurdoss is a great model, i didn’t want the base to be a simple basing job like most of the models i painted so far so, i went to my bitz box and raided the collapsed wall: a reaper bones base for a failed painting of a manticore… It was a good start but, i thought i could use more… I took another reaper bones of a giant bat sitting on a piece of wall. Perfect! But i though something was missing and i remember seeing something on my FLGS wall rack: from Wizkids Deep Cuts line, the Witch’s Den! I decided to use the basin and thought it would be like The Craven King was passing over somesort of former holy ground…
The silver dot is the contact point where the Craven King will be and i put something over it while i primed it.
I’ll be starting with the base itself and maybe the base colors on the spirits…
Update to come when the base is done!
